Well, its time to play one of our favorite places again. The White Eagle. We like this place so much that we recorded an album here about 8 years ago. Which we will have for sale at the show in case you are slow to the merch table, rest assured that 8 years later we still have some! So come out and see us Friday. W.C. Beck will be opening for us at 9:30 PM and we will likely go on at 10:30 pm. The show is only $6 so now you really have to come out!!
What a time we had with our buddies Foghorn Stringband last night! Such a blast. Cant wait to do it again. So thanks to all of you who came out! Those of you who didn’t….come next time!!!

To the topic of 2013 releases. There will be a newJackstraw record next year. Most likely in the spring, the band says. Work has been done, however. Speedy bluegrass picking has been performed in a studio.
Guitarist Jon Neufeld — while on tour with another of his bands, Black Prairie — was kind enough to email “Better Do Right,” a new song that highlights banjo player Cory Goldman, who you might know from the Water Tower Bucket Boys. (correction Sam Yale is now playing banjo on this new recording as well as live performances)
The band’s promising a bunch of new songs at this gig.
We are so excited to be playing The White Eagle again! Old school style, just us all night. 9:30, $8, Friday November 16. Already hearing about friends booking rooms for the night. We will be doing one of our favorite gigs of the year this weekend. Our annual(sometime bi annual) electric straw bugaloo with the freak mountain ramblers! Come on out! Gonna be fun fun fun! Oh yeah and we just finished tracking a NEW ALBUM this past weekend! So we’ll no doubt be playing some of those tunes for y’all! Hope to see you there!!

Come on down for a post brewgrass festival show at Barleys Taproom tonight! 9 pm start. We still got some vinyl and cds,hats, etc traveling with us as well. Heading to Knoxville tomorrow then back to portland we go early Monday morning. Hope to see you all tonight!
