Alrighty people. I have to say we are overwhelmed by the generosity coming from every which way. We thank you so much for your support! It means so much. We are planning on being in nashville at the IBMA conference(international bluegrass music association)in september to support the release of this new album! yeehaw!! We are so excited that we got our good friend and former banjo player Von Wilson to fill in for Cory Goldman on our upcoming midwest tour in October!! Von was our bandmate for 6(ish) years and played on our album The Farrington Sessions(recorded on farrington street in Alston,Massachussets in the midst of a east coast tour). We will miss our buddy/banjo shredder Cory Goldman on this trip but are elated to get a former bandmate to fill in. You all (as well as we are ) are in for a treat!! See you all there!!!

We just started our kickstarter campaign(http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/127299044/jackstraw-needs-help-releasing-our-new-album-title)! Please if you can take a look at the page and order a new album to help us fund the production of the album. Its all recorded,mixed and mastered. The artwork is getting finished and we are planning on cds as well as vinyl and hats,shirts,etc. We are so excited to get this out. We got two months to reach our goal. Its all or nothing to! So if we dont reach it we get nothing but i am confident that we will with all of our immense support from you . You sweet sweet fans. Thank you for everything!!
We are excited to be coming to Montana for a couple shows!! First up we are doing our 6th annual costume party gig in Babb(MT) at Hooks Hideaway Bar and Grill on Friday July 15th. This is one heck of a good time!
Then we will be playing at the Green Grass Festival in Lolo Hot Springs on Saturday July 16. There is a lot of great acts to catch at this event so come early and hang out all day and night!

Hey folks,
We will be at the Deschute Brewery anniversary party on June 25th from 6-8 pm. It is located at 210 NW 11th ave in Portland, OR.
The following weekend we will be in TIllamook, OR for a fun fireworks show July 2nd. This is located at the Alderbrook Golf Course. Come out and see us over the next few weeks!
We will be at The Goodfoot Saturday April 30th performing electric! Following us will be The Freak Mountain Ramblers!!! Come on down. Show starts at 9:30 pm and goes late. Cover charge at the door. We got some new tunes to try out as well!!! See you there—–
So tomorrow (Friday the 15th) we will be at the Secret Society Ballroom. Its a great room and we would love to see you all out! The show starts at 9 pm, there is a cover charge and a great time to follow!! The next night (Saturday ) we will be returning to Hood River to play at the Waucoma Club. Its a new venue in a place we used to play (formerly called the River City Saloon). We haven’t been since its changed to the Waucoma Club so come on out and lets make our first time a great one. We start at 9 pm and there is a cover charge. Come on out!!! See you there!
So in absence of David, Jesse, and Cory from the happy hour this week…..Darrin and I decided to mix it up a bit. So we got Kevin and Anita Robinson (Viva Voce, Blue Giant), Al James (Dolorean), Jesse Bates(Dolorean, Blue Giant,etc.), and Luke Price (awesome fiddler, recent Portland transplant). There may be more as well! You never know. We are doing 6-8 pm this week. Come on down for this rare happy hour. Should be a blast!
